Telephone counseling

Work travel and relocation make it impossible to get to psychotherapy/ counseling sessions in person. Having done years of telephone counseling while at the Employee Assistance Program at American Express, I am very comfortable with phone therapy sessions. This is typically very simple – an appointment is scheduled ahead of time and at agreed upon time the client calls my office or in need be I call the client from wherever I am. Counseling by phone has become an accepted form of doing therapy as we become more global and technologically sophisticated in our lifestyles.
